Painting landscapes allows artists to capture the beauty of nature, express emotions, convey a sense of place, evoke memories, showcase different perspectives, and connect viewers to the natural world. It's a way for artists to interpret and share their personal experiences and perspectives of the environment around them. Welcome to our watercolour painting course, where you'll dive into the beautiful world of creating art with watercolours! In this course, you'll learn fundamental techniques, colour mixing, brushwork, and various approaches to unleash your creativity onto paper.

Throughout the course, we'll explore different aspects of landscapes. Coast, Street scenes etc, enabling you to develop your skills progressively. Paul will guide you step by step, offering tips and demonstrations to help you grasp the essentials of watercolour painting.

Expect to gain confidence in handling this versatile medium. Whether you're a beginner or seeking to refine your existing skills, this course aims to inspire and empower you to express yourself through the captivating medium of watercolours. Tutor: Mr P Parker. Suggested requirements - brushes - sable/sable hair mixture / or nylon. round. Cerulean blue / Ultramarine blue / cobalt blue / Cadmium Red / Alizarin Crimson / Burnt Sienna / Cadmium Yellow / Lemon Yellow / Raw Umber / Burnt Umber Paynes Gray / Raw Sienna / Cabalt turquoise. Implements - mixing dishes, two jars for water, a small sponge, masking fluid, pencils 2B and 4B, some fine tipped dip pens, putty rubber, piece of hard boards large enough to stretch an A3 sheet, kitchen roll, blotting paper, craft knife or pen knife, arches or other cotton paper 140lb pads.
