Introduction to Documentary Photography - UCM - Autumn

Unlock the power of visual storytelling with this course. The course is designed for aspiring photographers and enthusiasts alike, guiding you through the fundamentals of capturing compelling, real-life narratives through your lens. Learn the art of framing, lighting, and composition and build your technical knowledge, to make the most of your environment. We will also explore the skills you need and ethical considerations of photographing real-world events and people. With a range of hands-on assignments combined with expert feedback, we will cover a range of in camera and post-processing skills with the potential of dark room, film photography experiences or a fully digital process. You will gain the skills and confidence to create impactful images that resonate. Access to own means of taking a photograph. The course can be adapted to any equipment owned by the student.
