The beginners course aims to teach you the fundamentals of playing the drum kit. You will learn the basic rhythms and grooves of drumming, progressing to different beat permutations and patterns, fills, coordination and technique. You will discover how these beats and rhythms can fit into various different songs and by the end of the course you will be able to play a wide variety of pop and rock songs. Example of songs you may learn on the course - Every Breath you take by the Police, Highway to Hell by AC/DC, Yellow by Coldplay and many many more. Drum kits will be supplied but you will be required to use your own sticks. Tutor: Mr M Brabbs.
