Type of Course - Upskilling
Level 2 Award In the Safe Application of Pesticides Using Self Propelled, Mounted or Trailed Horizontal Boom Sprayers (PA2A) (Mounted, trailed and self propelled hydraulic nozzle or rotary automiser horizontal boom sprayers)
Know the legislative and safety regulations relating to application equipment
Be able to assess the environmental factors relating to the mixing and application site
Be able to read and interpret product information
Be able to prepare and calibrate the applicator
Be able to operate the application equipment
Know how to carry out post-operational procedures
Prerequisites:You must hold the PA1 Theory course, (Safe Use of Pesticides) certificate before taking the PA2 assessment.
Assessment:The course ends with a practical, independent assessment for the City & Guilds/NPTC qualification.
Requirements:Candidates usually need to provide PPE, including spray coveralls, boots, and gloves.
