Woodwork for Beginners - UCM - SPRING

Woodwork is for everyone. Would you like to be able to tackle some of your own home DIY projects? if you are a complete beginner or someone who would like to go back to basics - this is the course for you. In these supportive classes you will be taught the safe and efficient use of hand power tools, how to mark out your timber, cut accurately and follow plans. You will be introduced to simple planning and design and gain an understanding of materials. There will be a choice of small projects; beginning with a bird box and moving onto a small stool, key shelf, wine or shoe rack. You will gain skills, confidence and advice that you can take forward to plan and build successful home projects. Tutor: L Oliver.

Equipment you need to bring:

Sharp pencil. 

Notepad. 

Reading glasses and hair tie if you wear them. 

Comfortable clothing with no loose dangling sleeves or tassels. 

Trainers, shoes, or boots (no sandals). 

 

All building materials will be supplied.
